We’ve evolved and we want to bring you with us.
The Women in Retrofit network was born from a simple but powerful mission: to champion women stepping into retrofit careers and training. As the community grew, something became clear through our work, our events, and our partnerships: The challenge to bring more women into retrofit wasn’t unique to retrofit, it was a challenge that existed across the green sector. Workforce gaps. Skills shortages. Barriers to training. Lack of representation. A need for community, support, visibility, and opportunity.
Again and again, we saw that the work we were doing could - and should - serve every woman entering or progressing within the wider green economy. So we expanded.
Introducing: Women in Rising Green Careers (WinR)
Women in Rising Green Careers is the natural evolution of the Women in Retrofit network.
It’s the same mission, the same passion, the same commitment to representation and opportunity - but with a broader, sector-wide remit and a bigger vision.
Our work now spans:
• Renewable energy
• Retrofit and construction
• Sustainability and decarbonisation
• Circular economy
• Environmental leadership
• Green innovation and emerging technologies.
The Women in Retrofit network has grown, expanded and evolved into a movement that reflects the full reality of the green sector today.
